Japan's format
Japan plays each set months before the English release. This is the field they are playing, in English, with what it costs.
The read
475 top-8 finishes across 60 City Leagues, Sun, May 3, 2026 to Wed, May 6, 2026. Dragapult / Meowth is 12.8% of it and the field’s priciest build runs $57.97.
The whole field, at once
Every band is an archetype and the widths are shares of top-8 finishes. The tail is folded into one band rather than dropped, so the bar adds up to the format rather than to the part of it worth naming.

Why there is no trend line here
Every tournament in this file falls inside 3 days, which is one Golden Week block rather than a season. Splitting that at its midpoint and calling the difference “rising” would print a confident direction derived from Sunday against Monday. The weekly sync grows the archive and the trend charts switch themselves on at three weeks of coverage.
What each deck costs to build
From Japanese singles at the Sun, Jul 26, 2026 snapshot, priced off the winning list we hold. The coverage figure is the share of the list’s copies we have a price for, and a deck with low coverage costs more than the number says.

The players nobody outside Japan follows
City League is a scene with standings, and this is the first time it has been shown in English. More than one top-8 finish in the window.

Where this comes from, and what it cannot tell you
Results are City League top cuts as published by Limitless, last pulled Thu, Sep 3, 2026. Card prices are Japanese singles from our own weekly snapshot. Nothing here predicts an English release date: we do not hold a verified mapping from Japanese sets to English ones, and inventing one would put a confident date on every card with some of them wrong. What a decklist page does say is how many of its cards have no English printing in our catalogue at all, which answers the same question without guessing.
